Litigation

Generations of Results.

William Robert “Bill” Neil was licensed in 1967 and tried hundreds of cases during his 50 year career a a criminal and family law board-certified specialist in Texas. JoDee Neil not only inherited his work ethic, but has applied it over her two decades of experience helping criminal and civil participants find meaning and healing in the wake of tragic events. JoDee believes in paying forward her privilege as a second-generation trial attorney to help clients take back their power from those who hurt them.

JoDee worked tirelessly for child survivors of sexual and physical abuse when she was an assistant district attorney. She prosecuted capital murder cases (non death penalty), aggravated sexual assault offenses as well as indecency and injury to a child cases. She worked with experts across the multi-disciplinary team to see that her kids had the best care the system could offer, including clinicians and mental health experts. JoDee worked with specialized detectives from all over the metroplex, and maintains relationships with many to this day. These resources are of great value to civil litigants who have suffered trauma by the actions of another. Knowledge of the criminal system is crucial when representing survivors of sexual assault in the civil sector, and JoDee is one of few attorneys who have Crimes Against Children experience in the civil sector in Texas.

JoDee is driven by her purpose, which is to serve the highest good of as many people as she can, for as long as she lives. That is why she dedicated several years of her life to the opioid litigation—because bringing opioid harm reduction aid to Texas could help people who were needlessly suffering due to the intentional acts of bad actors in Big Pharma. JoDee’s own mother was one of the affected souls who passed away from an overdose in 2010. JoDee has found meaning in her mother’s tragedy by working steadfastly in the opioid litigation for the past 5 years. JoDee began in the opioid litigation in December 2018, and has been an integral part of the litigation team who has successfully prosecuted Big Pharma and achieved meaningful results for the Counties of Texas. The opioid litigation gave JoDee the perspective she needed to fully piece together the relationship between County, State and Municipal governments, and how these entities can best provide services to those affected by the opioid crisis. Furthermore, the opioid litigation sharpened JoDee’s civil litigation skills beyond measure—she will forever be grateful for the experience of fighting Big Pharma on behalf of the people of Dallas County. Clients for decades to come will benefit from the skills JoDee developed in this complex, elite multi-district litigation effort.

JoDee is currently an attorney at Simon Greenstone Panatier, PC, in Dallas Texas, where she has been employed for more than 6 years.
